COP Walks have resumed - Monday, March 19, 2012 The Citizen on Patrol walks have resumed and take place the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Meet at Himalayan House on Fort Avenue. Dogs are always welcome as long as they are leashed.

LPCA Yard Sale - Monday, March 19, 2012 The annual LPCA Yard Sale is back on Saturday June 2 from 8am-1pm in Latrobe Park. Spaces are free. If you need to rent a table there is a $10 charge. Email contacts@mylocustpoint.org to sign up for a space.

Charm City Circulator Banner Route - Tuesday, February 21, 2012Charm City Circulator is coming to our neighborhood! The Banner Route will be launching in May, connecting Fort McHenry and Locust Point to the Inner Harbor. As of this announcement, the service will begin mid-May, after the Fort Avenue Bridge is complete. See the link below for more detailed route and stop information. Locust Point proposal for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Districts - Monday, January 16, 2012More than a year ago, the Baltimore Immigration Memorial board proposed to place Locust Point on the National Register of Historic Districts, which was endorsed by the community. The Maryland Historical Trust, which oversees this process, requires a Statement of Historic Significance, describing why Locust Point is indeed a historic neighborhood. This Statement will cover Locust Point’s early years, the advent of the B&O railroad, industrialization, immigration, the construction of working class housing, and a snapshot of Locust Point’s economy and society 95 years ago. Fort Avenue Bridge - Thursday, January 27, 2011Later this summer, the Baltimore City Department of Transportation is planning to begin reconstruction of the Fort Avenue bridge located over the CSX train tracks. DOT insists a complete tear-down of the bridge is necessary.
