Re: Parking

Sit on the corner of Beason and Hull Street one morning from 7am until 9am with a video camera.... I guarantee you will video 75% of the tide point workers run that stop sign... it might as well not even be there... Make sure you get their front license plate in the view finder..... .then give that videotape to the tidepoint management company as well as local law enforcement

Or put up a big sign that says "STOP" you are being videotaped as you run this stop sign.......

my dog got hit by one of those damn cars, and he was on a leash..... the guy who ran the stop sign stopped to see if everything was okay and i beat his A**  this was in the spring time...... i've been looking for his black jeep wrangler since and i swear he doesnt drive down hull street anymore.... i was surprised he didnt call the cops.... or if he did call the cops they didnt show up... because i didnt go inside and hide like my wife told me to

Re: Parking

Parking has been an issue in LP for a very long time.  Unfortunately, there are no easy answers.  I do not like the idea of having to pay for a permit to park in front on my house.  A permit is no guarantee of a parking space.  New construction requires off-street parking however it appears the majority of new construction homeowners prefer to park in front of their homes and not in their garages.  Could parking permits be for only those who do not have off-street parking?

This is what concerns me.  Homeowners have 2 off-street parking spaces and 3 cars.  They are upset because they cannot get parking for the third car in front of their house.   So the way to remedy this is permit parking?   Giving someone 3 parking permits, when in fact, only one is really needed can't be a reasonable solution.

Most of the people who park in front of your home are your neighbors.  Please take note that I said "most".  With permit parking it willl still be your neighbors in front of your home.  But it may result in neighbors with off-street parking being on the street instead of the garages because they have permits.
