Jake Ruppert
I have attempted to contact Jake Ruppert about construction times at The Decatur Steeet Townhouse project. I Baltimore City construction can't start until 7 am. His construction has been getting earlier an earlier. Yesterday they were cutting steel right across the street from my house at 6 am. This is very loud. I went out and asked them to stop until 7 am. They did not. My girlfriend went to the sales center at lunch and made a request for no construction until 7 am. I emailed Jake Ruppert about the problem. He didn't return my email just like he has never returned my emails in the past. This morning steel cutting began at 6:15 am on a Saturday. I wasn't planning on getting up this early, but I don't have a choice. Jake, I know you live in the neighborhood, why do you allow this to happen? Can you please tell your crews there is a 7 am start time?

Re: Jake Ruppert
Today is Sunday. Construction started at 6:15 am across the street from my house. I tried to tell the crew to stop, but they did not speak english. Jake will you tell your crews to not start this early? I have asked many times. You could at least respond to my emails.

Re: Jake Ruppert
Today construction started at 6:30. This included a lot of hammering and machines moving around. When the machines move in reverse they make a beeping sound that sounds like an alarm clock. I have stopped in the sales center 3 times. I have also emailed Jake Ruppert. He still will not respond.  In my opinion he is the worst builder in Locust Point. Does anyone in the community have a solution?

Re: Jake Ruppert
I just wanted to update this post. Tuesday morning a Baltimore City building inspector called me. He said he would stop by Ruppert Homes Inc. and tell them no construction before 7am. Tuesday afternoon Jake Ruppert responded to the email I sent Friday morning. In this email he said he personally drove through the site at 6am on Friday and saw no construction taking place. He said he spoke to his superintendent and asked him to speak to the subcontractors to communicate that work should not begin prior to 7am. He requested that I speak to the contractors starting early and find out what site they are working on. After I received this email, I emailed him back with the names of the contractors and descriptions of them. I did not receive a response to this email as requested, but construction has not begun before 7am this week.
